- 6 medium potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
- 12 cup onion, chopped
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 14 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350.

2Cook potatoes in lightly salted water for 5 minutes; drain and set aside.

3Make sauce.

4Cook onion and garlic in hot oil over medium heat until tender.

5Stir in flour salt and pepper.

6Add milk all at once.

7Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.

8In a greased 2-1/2 quart baking dish, layer half of the potatoes.

9Pour half of the sauce over the potatoes and sprinkle with half cup of cheese.

10Repeat with remaining ingredients.

11Bake covered for 35 minutes, uncover and bake another 35 minutes.

12Let stand 10 minutes before eating.
