- 5 eggs, at room temperature
- 3 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Cream butter until light.

3Add sugar to butter gradually until fluffy.

4Add eggs one at a time and mix well.

5Sift flour and baking powder together.

6Add flour and milk to the creamed batter, beginning and ending with the flour gradually.

7Blend lemon and vanilla flavorings.

8Pour batter into well-greased and floured cake.
