- 2 Tbsp. butter/margarine
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- dash of black pepper
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1In saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

2Add flour, salt and pepper; mix well.

3Add evaporated milk and water, all at once. Continue to cook over medium heat until mixture boils.

4Boil 1 additional minute or until thick.

5Yield: 1 cup.
