Basil Infused Lemonade

- 1 cup Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1/4 cups Basil
- 6-1/2 cups Water, Divided
- 1 cup Sugar
- Ice, To Serve
Directions

1Squeeze lemons until you have one cup of juice. Chop basil (just enough so the flavors will release).

2Make a simple syrup by heating 1 cup of water and the sugar in a saucepan. Add basil in the beginning and it will infuse the syrup. Stir syrup over medium heat until the solution clears then remove from heat. Allow the syrup to cool for at least 5 minutes.

3Mix the lemon juice with the remaining 5 1/2 cups of cold water in a pitcher. Strain the syrup to remove the basil and add the syrup to the pitcher.

4Serve over ice.
