Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 3/4 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in 3/4 cup warm water.

    Mix together butter and sugar.

    Add egg; mix well.

    Add yeast mixture plus 1/2 cup warm water, salt and flour.

    Mix all ingredients well and let stand in greased, covered bowl in refrigerator overnight.

    Roll out and cut like biscuits.

    Let rise at room temperature 2 1/2 hours.

    Bake at 400° until lightly brown.
