- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 4 c. fresh or frozen, unsweetened cherries
- 1/3 c. water
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. milk
Directions

1Mix the first 4 ingredients and cut in margarine; set aside. Combine 3/4 cup of sugar, cherries and water; cook and stir

2until slightly thickened and bubbly; stir in 1 tablespoon of margarine. Reduce heat and keep hot.

3Combine egg and milk; add all at once to dry ingredients.

4Use fork to mix until moistened.

5Transfer hot cherry filling to an 8 x 1 1/2-inch round dish.

6Immediately spoon biscuit mixture on top in 4 mounds.

7Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes.
