- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 c. flour
Directions

1In a large mixer bowl combine 2 cups all-purpose flour and 1 package active dry yeast.

2In a saucepan heat 1 1/4 cups of milk, 1/2 cup shortening, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon salt, just until warm (115° to 120°) and shortening is almost melted.

3Stir constantly.

4Add to flour mixture and add 1 egg.
