- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 tsp. melted butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 1/2 c. coconut
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Directions

1Combine dry ingredients and sift.

2Add egg just enough to blend; add melted butter and combine.

3Combine milk and water; add to mixture, beating only until batter is smooth.

4Combine coconut and pecans; spread on bottom of unbaked pie crust.

5Fill with chocolate mixture.

6Bake 40 to 50 minutes.

7First 15 minutes at 375°, then drop heat to 375°.
