  • 1/4 lb. each: orange peel, lemon peel and citron, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. each: crystallized pineapple and cherries, chopped
  • 1 (15 oz.) box raisins, chopped
  • 1 1/2 lb. pkg. figs, chopped
  • 1 1/2 lb. pkg. dates, chopped
  • 1/2 lb. mixed, chopped candied fruits
  • 2 c. mixed nuts, chopped
  • 2 c. English walnuts, chopped
  • 1 lb. margarine
  • 1 lb. sugar
  • 12 eggs, separated
  • 1 (5 oz.) bottle rum sauce
  • 1 (5 oz.) bottle brandy sauce
  • 1 c. cooking wine
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. each: cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and ground cloves

    Mix chopped nuts and fruits; set aside.

    Cream margarine and sugar.

    Separate eggs and beat yolks.

    Blend egg yolks with margarine and sugar mixture.
