Ingredients

  • 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 egg whites
  • salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. vinegar
  • 3/4 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    Melt chocolate chips over hot water (or very slowly in microwave).

    Beat egg whites with dash of salt until foamy in small mixing bowl. Gradually add sugar, beating well.

    Beat until stiff peaks form.

    Beat in vanilla and vinegar.

    Fold in melted, cooled chocolate and walnuts.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.

    Decorate with chopped walnuts, if desired. Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove immediately.
