Ingredients
- 15 ounces fat-free refried beans (1 can)
- 12 cup sweet onion, finely chopped (minced if possible)
- jalapeno pepper, diced (I use the pickled ones in a jar, as many or as few as you like)
- 12 cup of your favorite picante sauce
- 12 ounce taco seasoning (1/2 pack)
- 1 dash cumin
- 12 cup shredded cheddar cheese or 12 cup monterey jack cheese
Directions

1Mix first 5 ingredients in a sauce pan over medium low heat.

2Simmer about 10 minutes until heated well.

3Add shredded cheese, stir well, turn heat to low and simmer for about 5 more minutes.

4Remove from heat and place in a plastic container with lid.

5Serve right away or allow to sit for awhile.
