Ingredients

  • 2 (15 oz.) cans Northern white beans, drained
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans pinto beans, drained
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef (round or chuck)
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Brown beef, onions and green peppers and drain.

    Place all ingredients in large pot and simmer slowly for 1 hour.

    Stir very carefully as to not mash beans.
  4. 4
    Delicious with cornbread.
