  • 8 oz. Great Northern or navy beans
  • 8 oz. pinto beans
  • seasoning salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 c. white onion, chopped fine
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped garlic
  • 12 oz. chopped ham, cut in 1/2-inch squares
  • 5 medium potatoes, diced

Directions

    Soak beans for 3 hours in cold water.

    Bring to boil.

    Cut back heat.

    Add salt, pepper, onion, and garlic.

    Cook, covered, until beans are done, about 2 hours.

    One-half hour before beans are done, add ham and potatoes.
