Bean Soup

Ingredients
- 1 c. dry beans
- 1/2 lb. boiling meat
- 2 qt. water
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 carrot
- 2 stalks celery
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Wash and soak beans overnight.

2Boil meat with vegetables in the water until very tender; remove.

3Add beans and cook until all to pieces.

4Put through a strainer to remove skins.

5Cut meat into tiny pieces.

6Add to bean pulp.

7Put in hot milk and seasoning. Serve piping hot.

8Vegetables are used for seasoning.

9Any dry beans or peas may be used.

10One can of tomatoes may also be used.
