  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 sm. onion, studded with
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 sm. bay leaf

Directions

    Melt butter in pan and add flour.

    Cook flour until slightly brown.

    Slowly stir in milk.

    Add onion and bay leaf; stirring constantly, cook until sauce begins to thicken.

    Place sauce in oven at 350F and bake for 20 minutes.

    Strain sauce and correct seasoning.
