- 2 oz. salt pork
- 12 small white onions
- 2 lb. round steak, cut into 2-inch cubes
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/8 tsp. marjoram
- 1/8 tsp. thyme
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. Burgundy
- 1 c. beef bouillon
- 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
Directions

1Render salt pork in saucepan.

2Add onions.

3Saute until brown. Add beef.

4Cook until brown.

5Sprinkle with flour, marjoram, thyme, salt and pepper; mix well.

6Stir in wine and bouillon. Simmer for 4 to 5 hours.

7Add mushrooms.

8Cook for 45 minutes longer.

9May reserve sauteed onions and add with mushrooms.

10May bake in oven at 250° until done to taste.

11Serve with hot noodles, rice or small potatoes.
