- 1 boneless beef brisket (4 lb.)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 3 large onions, sliced 1/2-inch thick
Directions

1Line a 13 x 10-inch pan with 1 large sheet of foil to cover meat completely later.

2Put in brisket, season beef and arrange onion slices on top.

3Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

4When onions brown slightly, then cover (seal) beef tightly with foil.

5Add 1 cup of water to pan (may have to add more water).

6Reduce heat to 300°. Cook 2 more hours.

7Keep sealed.

8After 3 hours, open and check. If fork-tender, it's cooked long enough.

9Make gravy from the juices.
