Ingredients

  • 3 lb. lean hamburger
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 3 1/2 to 4 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. cumin
  • 2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 (10 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 (4 oz.) cans chopped green chilies
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. wine vinegar
  • 2 to 3 chopped garlic cloves

Directions

    Brown hamburger in oil and drain.

    Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 3 to 4 hours.

    Several cans of kidney beans may also be added.
