  • 2 lb. beef sirloin or tenderloin
  • 3 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1 1/2 or 2 c. canned mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 c. red cooking wine (Burgundy; more can be added)
  • salt and pepper
  • ketchup and water if needed

    Cut beef into small pieces (not thick).

    Cook in 2 tablespoons of melted oleo in shallow baking dish for 30 to 40 minutes until well browned.
