- 3 lb. round steak or 3 lb. top sirloin, cut into cubes
- 1/2 c. margarine, melted
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. thyme
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef broth (bouillon)
- 1 (4 or 8 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
- 6 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. Burgundy
- 1 onion, chopped
- cooked rice
Directions

1Brown meat in melted margarine and put into a 2-quart baking dish.

2Blend flour and seasonings.

3Mix flour with wine and beef bouillon.

4Pour over meat. Cover and bake at 325° for 2 hours. Add onion and mushrooms.

5Cover and continue cooking 1 hour more. Serve over hot rice.
