- 2 lbs chuck steaks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 12 ounces onions
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 15 fluid ounces ale
- 1 sprig fresh thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 garlic clove
- salt and pepper
Directions

1pre heat oven to 180 c.

2seal the meat in a little oil whilst browning the onions,.

3then add the flour and stir untill all the juices are soaked up.

4add the ale stirring all the time than add crushed garlic thyme and bayleaf.

5transfer to a casserole dish with a tight fitting lid and ook for 2 1/2 hours.

6DO NOT remove the lid whilst cooking.
