  • 2 lbs chuck steaks
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 ounces onions
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 15 fluid ounces ale
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 garlic clove
  • salt and pepper

Directions

    pre heat oven to 180 c.

    seal the meat in a little oil whilst browning the onions,.

    then add the flour and stir untill all the juices are soaked up.

    add the ale stirring all the time than add crushed garlic thyme and bayleaf.

    transfer to a casserole dish with a tight fitting lid and ook for 2 1/2 hours.

    DO NOT remove the lid whilst cooking.
