- 1 lb. beef flank steak
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper or 1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper (black)
Directions

1Trim off all visible fat. Cut steak lengthwise (with the grain) into thin strips (about 3/16-inch thick). Combine seasonings. Sprinkle over strips.

2Mix well. Arrange strips of meat, flat and close together, on wire racks on a shallow cookie sheet.

3Bake in a slow oven at 175° for 4 hours or until dry and almost crisp.

4Cool on paper towels.

5Store in airtight jars and keep in refrigerator.
