  • 1 1/2 lb. flank steak
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/3 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. monosodium glutamate
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 c. Worcestershire

Directions

    Trim all fat from meat.

    Semi-freeze meat and slice with the grain making strips 2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide.

    Place meat in shallow baking dish.

    Combine all other ingredients and pour over meat:

    marinate overnight.

    Preheat oven to 140° to 150°. Lay strips of meat in single layer on oven rack with baking sheet or foil underneath to catch drippings.

    Leave oven door open a crack and bake 8 to 10 hours, or until meat is chewy.

    Test by tasting occasionally.

    Serve as appetizers or snacks.
