Beef Macaroni Dinner

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms (undrained)
  • 1/2 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 4 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Brown meat and onions in butter.

    Mix all other ingredients except cheese.

    Cook and drain elbow macaroni.

    Save macaroni until last.

    Cook all ingredients including meat and onions in frying pan for about 1 hour.

    Mix elbow macaroni, meat mixture and cheese in a large serving dish.

    Arrange triangles of cheese on top.
