Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground round (more if you've got it)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix (per lb. of beef)
  • 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste (per lb. of beef)
  • 3 (12 oz.) cans water
  • grated cheese
  • shredded lettuce
  • chopped tomato
  • chopped onion
  • chopped black olives
  • cubed avocado
  • sour cream
  • Fritos or tortilla chips

Directions

    Brown meat and onion together until crumbly and brown; drain excess fat.

    In a large frying pan, add taco seasoning mix to meat and onion.

    Mix evenly.

    Add tomato paste and water; simmer 1/2 hour.

    On serving plate, pour 3/4 to 1 cup of meat mixture.

    Top with grated cheese, shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, onion, black olives, cubed avocado and sour cream.

    Use Fritos or tortilla chips to scoop and eat (or pour meat over chips and eat with a fork, but chips will get soggy).
