  • 1 1/2 c. cut cooked beef, cut into strips
  • 1 c. beef broth
  • 1 fresh clove garlic or garlic powder
  • 3/4 c. diagonally sliced celery
  • 1/2 c. thinly sliced onion
  • 2 to 3 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms, drained or fresh
  • 1 pkg. (6 oz.) frozen pea pods, thawed
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water or white wine
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 c. cooked rice

    Combine beef and broth in a large skillet; simmer about 2 minutes.

    Add celery, onion and soy sauce; cook, covered about 5 minutes.

    Add mushrooms and pea pods.

    Combine water and cornstarch; add to meat mixture and toss gently.

    Cook until thickened.

    Serve over rice.
