Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. round steak
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. marjoram
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 c. hot water
Directions

1Cut steak into serving pieces and pound to 1/4-inch thick.

2Dip in egg and roll in mixture of Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. Brown steak in oil, then place in baking dish.

3Cook onion in same skillet until tender.

4Stir in salt, pepper, sugar, oregano, marjoram and tomato paste.

5Add hot water.

6Cook 5 minutes.

7Pour most of sauce over steak.

8Top with slices of Mozzarella cheese, then rest of sauce.

9Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour or until tender.

10Add water if needed.

11Serve over noodles, spaghetti or rice.
