Ingredients

  • 1 lb. stew beef
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 2 c. beef broth
  • 1/4 tsp. marjoram
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 8 potatoes
  • 4 carrots
  • 2 stalks celery

Directions

    Brown beef in pan with a little Crisco.

    Add tomatoes (chop them up a little), broth, marjoram, salt and pepper.

    Cover and cook until meat is almost tender.

    Add onion, potatoes, carrots, celery and parsley.

    Let simmer.

    (I usually let it simmer for 3 to 4 hours.)

    Stir occasionally.
