  • 2 lb. stewing beef
  • 3 to 4 carrots
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 3 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
  • 1/2 c. red wine or bouillon
  • 2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1 c. tomato sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Put in roaster or baking dish.

    Cook at 250° for 5 to 6 hours. During last hour, add 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms and potatoes. Delicious with crusty bread and salad.
