  • 8 c. water
  • 4 bouillon cubes (beef)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. cubed stew beef
  • 2 large potatoes, cubed
  • 1 large onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 poly bag frozen Green Giant mixed vegetables
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1/4 tsp. marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 bay leaves

Directions

    Cut beef into 1-inch or smaller cubes.

    In a Dutch oven, add water, beef and bouillon.

    Boil until beef is almost tender.

    Add onions and potatoes; simmer 30 minutes.

    Add spices and bag of vegetables and simmer until they are tender.

    (Keep adding water to retain original water level.)

    Serves 4 to 6.
