- 1 1/2 to 2 lb. stew beef
- 5 to 6 potatoes, quartered
- 1 pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 medium onion
- 1 can beef bouillon
- 1 capful cooking sherry
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Put salt, pepper, flour and meat into paper bag and shake, being sure to coat meat well.

2Brown meat in heavy skillet; drain off any grease.

3Add water, broth, bay leaf, onions, tomato sauce and sherry.

4Bring to a boil and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
