- 1 lb. round steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 4 medium potatoes
- 4 carrots, cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1 to 2 stalks celery, cut into 1-inch chunks
- 2 medium onions, quartered and separated
- 1 qt. V-8 juice
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
- 2 Tbsp. barley (uncooked)
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Brown beef.

2Place in roaster with all other ingredients. Cover.

3Bake at 250° for 4 hours.

4Can also be placed in crock-pot on low for 8 hours.

5May also add corn, peas and green beans, if desired.
