  • 1 1/2 lb. lean beef, cut into 1-inch squares
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 4 potatoes, diced
  • 4 carrots, diced
  • 2 turnips, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley

Directions

    Sprinkle meat squares with salt, pepper and flour.

    Brown with onions in the oil.

    Add water to cover; simmer for 1 hour or until tender.
