  • 1 lb. stew meat
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 5 carrots
  • 5 potatoes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/8 tsp. sage
  • 1/8 tsp. thyme
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine

    Cut stew meat in bite-sized pieces.

    In clean sandwich bags, combine flour, salt, paprika and sage.

    Crush basil and thyme; add to flour.

    Shake well to mix.

    Put stew meat in flour mixture and shake until meat is covered.
