  • 26 ounces beef, cubed
  • 3 potatoes, pared and quartered
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 14 tablespoon pepper
  • 3 cups water or 3 cups broth

Directions

    Place all ingredients in a baking dish or casserole.

    Stir to blend thoroughly.

    Add water to cover, approx 2-3 cups.

    Cover dish with lid or foil.

    Place on rack.

    Set thermostat at 150 deg c or 300 deg f and cook 2-3 hours.
