  • 1 lb lean beef, cubed (top round)
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 34 tablespoon onion, chopped
  • 1 lb mushroom, sliced
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • pepper
  • 14 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 12 teaspoon dried basil
  • 14 cup white wine
  • 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 6 cups cooked noodles

Directions

    Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a non-stick skillet & saute onions for 2 minutes.

    Add beef and saute for additional 5 minutes.

    Turn to brown evenly.

    remove from pan & keep hot.

    Add remaining oil to pan; saute mushrooms.

    Add beef and onions to pan with seasonings.

    Add wine, yogurt and gently stir.

    Heat, but do not boil.

    Serve with cooked noodles.
