- 2 lb. round steak, cut into bite size strips
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 carton dairy sour cream
Directions

1Dredge steak in flour; brown with onion in butter.

2Add seasonings and water; cover and simmer gently until almost tender, 40 minutes to 1 hour.

3Stir occasionally.

4Add soup and mushrooms; stir to mix.

5Cook gently until beef is tender, about 30 minutes. At serving time, heat mixture piping hot.

6Turn off and stir in sour cream.

7Serve over fluffy rice.
