  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 large, thinly sliced onions
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 3/4 lb. bite size sirloin steak
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can condensed consomme
  • 1 (8 oz.) can stems and pieces mushrooms
  • salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. cooking sherry

    Preheat oven to 500°.

    Put meat in oven and reduce heat to 325° for 1 hour. Rub loin with soy sauce and then with Italian salad dressing. Should be medium-rare or check with meat thermometer.
