- 1/2 lb. fresh or canned mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large onion
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 lb. round steak
- 1 tsp. salt (optional)
- 2 c. bouillon or consomme
- 1 c. sour cream (light can be used)
Directions

1Saute onion and mushrooms in 2 tablespoons butter and remove from pan.

2Cut meat into strips 2 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inch wide.

3Melt additional 2 tablespoons butter in pan.

4Toss strips in flour, coating thoroughly.

5Brown meat in butter.

6Add salt and bouillon.

7Simmer, stirring occasionally until meat is tender, about 1 1/4 hours.

8Add mushrooms and onion and sour cream.

9Heat. Serve over noodles or rice.
