  • 1 1/2 lb. boneless sirloin or round steak
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. onions, coarsely diced
  • 12 oz. Heinz Homestyle mushroom gravy
  • 2 Tbsp. red wine (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/3 c. dairy sour cream
  • hot buttered noodles

Directions

    Cut steak into strips.

    In large skillet, brown meat in butter.

    Add onions; cook until limp.

    Stir in gravy, wine and tomato paste; season with salt and pepper.

    Cover; simmer 10 to 20 minutes, or until meat is tender.

    Remove from heat; let stand 10 minutes.

    Slowly stir in sour cream.

    Serve over hot buttered noodles.

    Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
