- 2 to 3 lb. beef tenderloin tips or round steak, cut into bite-size pieces
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 c. cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1/2 pt. sour cream
- curled egg noodles or rice
Directions

1Brown beef pieces in small amount of oil.

2When meat is brown, season with salt, pepper and onion salt.

3Add soup and water; simmer gently for 40 to 50 minutes or until meat is tender.

4Fold in mushrooms and sour cream; bring to serving temperatures.

5If thinner gravy is desired, thin with dry, light red wine.

6Serve over hot noodles or rice.
