  • 1 pound beef tenderloin or sirloin steak, about 1/2 inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, trimmed and sliced
  • 1 medium onion, minced (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed beef broth (bouillon)
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • hot cooked noodles (3 to 4 cups)
