- 1 beef tongue
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 (14 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
- salt
- black pepper
- 1 medium size onion
- garlic powder
Directions

1Wash beef tongue.

2Cut in half and place in crock-pot.

3Add water, tomatoes, salt, black pepper and garlic powder.

4Slice onion and place on top of tongue.

5Cover and cook for 8 to 10 hours (at 300° approximately) at medium setting.

6Tongue should be very tender when done.

7Peel when cool.

8Slice or shred.
-
9Can be served on flour or corn tortillas sprinkled with picante sauce if desired.
