Beer Batter Bread

- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 12 oz. beer (room temperature)
- 1 stick butter, divided
Directions

1Mix flour, sugar and beer and put in a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.

2Melt butter and pour 4 tablespoons (half) of it on top of dough.

3Bake in preheated 350° oven for 20 minutes, then pour remaining butter over top.

4Continue baking 40 more minutes. Remove from oven; remove from pan.

5Cool on wire rack.

6Best when toasted.
