  • 10 medium pan fish fillets
  • 1 c. fine ground corn meal
  • 1 c. Bisquick
  • 1 (12 oz.) bottle dark beer
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 Tbsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed dill weed
  • 1/8 tsp. savory
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • salt to taste

Directions

    Mix corn meal, Bisquick and seasonings.

    Add egg and enough beer so the batter just runs off a dipped fish.

    Deep fry 2 fish at a time in a fry pan at 360°.

    The fish are done when golden brown, about 3 1/2 to 5 minutes.
