  • 1 c. shortening (Crisco)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 2 c. beer

    Cream well the sugar and shortening.

    Add all other ingredients to the creamed mixture.

    Add beer and finish mixing. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

    Grease and flour pan.
