  • 1 lb. can tiny whole beets, drain and save juice
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • salt to taste
  • 1 lb. can chunk pineapple, drain and save juice
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Cook saved juices in small saucepan with cornstarch, sugar and vinegar.

    Stir constantly until mixture thickens.

    Add salt, pepper, beets, pineapple and butter.

    Cook for 20 minutes.

    May be served hot or cold.
