  • 1 c. scalded milk
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. yeast in 1/2 c. warm water
  • 5 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Mix scalded milk, butter, salt and sugar in a large bowl.

    Add beaten eggs.

    Add a cup of flour, then yeast, then the rest of the flour.

    Add raisins.

    Knead; let rise to double in size.

    Knead. Shape into loaves.

    Put into loaf pans.

    Let rise to double in size.

    Bake at 350° for 35 minutes, then sit back and enjoy.
