  • 2 12 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup margarine, melted
  • 3 14 cups thinly sliced apples (, I use granny smith or other tart apple)
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar jam (your choice)
  • 12 cup finely chopped walnuts

    Set oven to 375F degrees.

    Combine the 2 1/2 cups flour,oats,sugar,baking powder,and cinnamon.

    Stir in margarine.

    Set aside 1 1/2 cups for topping.

    Press remaining into greased 13x9 pan.

    Bake for 15 minutes.

    Toss apples with 2 T flour.

    Stir in the jam.

    Spread over hot crust, leaving 1/2 inch at edges.

    Combine nuts with reserved oat mixture.

    Sprinkle over fruit.
