- 2 large potatoes, thinly sliced into half rounds or diced
- 1 medium onion, thinly slices
- 1/4 cup butter
Directions

1Heat the butter in a pan until slightly sizzling.

2Place a layer of potatoes on the bottom of a medium sized frying pan.

3Top with a layer of onions.

4Sprinkle with salt and pepper

5Continue layering potatoes and onions until you have used them all up.

6Lower the heat to medium.
-
7Cover the pan and cook for about 10 minutes until the bottom layer is browned and a little bit crispy.

8Flip the potatoes over, one section at a time until all of the browned layer is on top.

9Cook for another 10 minutes until the new bottom layer is browned.

10Remove the lid and cook for another 10 minutes.
